A Cost Free Alternative Solution

The Anatomy Gifts Registry (AGR) is different from most Tissue Banks in that is represents a final disposition of a deceased human body. Like a Funeral Home or Cemetery, AGR is responsible for filing the Death Certificate and reporting the death to the State. However, unlike a Funeral Home or Cemetery, donating your body, or the body of a loved one, to benefit Medical Science provides a lasting legacy, and through AGR, is cost-free.

AGR's operational expenses are offset by the Researchers and Clinicians participating in the AGR program. There are no fees to those individuals, and their families, who choose body donation or 'Gift of Body' as a final disposition through AGR.

Please remember, that Body Donation benefiting Medical Science and Education is a very personal decision and once made is irreversible. Pre-planning your final affairs is a good way to inform your family of your desires and lessen the burden on them to make arrangements during their time of grief.
